The Department of Management at Colorado State University invites applications and nominations for a tenure/tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship. This position reports directly to the Department Chair in the Department of Management at the College of Business. The start date for a Fall of 2017 appointment is August 16th, 2017. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or related field. ABD candidates will be considered only if there is evidence that the doctorate degree will be completed before August 14, 2017. An established record of publishing empirical research in top-tier, peer reviewed, academic journals, or a demonstrated potential to do so, is required. Candidates must also have the ability to teach courses in entrepreneurship. In addition to required qualifications, preferred candidates will have: (1) an impactful research program that emphasizes entrepreneurship, (2) evidence of effective teaching, and (3) an ability to work effectively in a department that places significant emphasis on interdisciplinary interaction and integration. Secondarily, start-up venture experience and experience working with an active entrepreneurship center/institute would be valued. Candidates are expected to have an expressed commitment to the mission and goals of the College and Department. Reflecting departmental and institutional values, candidates are expected to advance the Department's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The College of Business at Colorado State University is an AACSB accredited business school which enrolls more than 3,800 undergraduate students in six business concentrations and the business administration minor and is the largest undergraduate major on campus. In addition, the college enrolls approximately 1,500 students in five different MBA programs and three department-based graduate programs in the Master of Accountancy, the Master of Computer Information Systems, and the Master of Financial Risk Management.
The Department of Management is one of five departments in the College of Business. The department has a strong record of teaching and research accomplishments as well as a collegial work environment. There are three primary areas in the department including supply chain management, human resource management/organizational behavior, and entrepreneurship/strategy. The Department currently has 18 tenured/tenure track faculty. The Department serves approximately 2,300 undergraduate business majors of whom 434 are management majors, approximately 2,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the business minor, and approximately 1,200 MBA students. The MBA is offered in residence and via Colorado State University's accredited online learning programs. The Global Social Sustainable Enterprise (GSSE) MBA is ranked 3rd in the world according to Net Impact.
The Institute for Entrepreneurship is located within the Department of Management and the College of Business. This very active institute offers cross-campus and cross-disciplinary programs such as the Venture Accelerator, the Collegiate Challenge Business Pitch Competition, and the SEE Conference.
