Each Retreat since 2002 has been different and ecumenical -- spiritual practices from a variety of spiritual and psychological traditions and religions depending on the interests and practices of participants who, for those who wish, suggest or lead one or more activities. We've offered a mixture of silence and discussion and addressed issues of both deep personal spiritual importance to participants and methods of teaching and studying management from an MSR (Management, Spirituality and Religion Group of AOM) perspective. Friendships have been newly formed (no marriages or partnerships yet as far as we know !), old acquaintances deepened, and new teaching, research and personal practices introduced. It's been a time of deep relaxation and joy after the annual AOM meetings, for many a period to unwind after the stress and excitement of the meetings.
Because accommodations require reservations and payment, we are asking that you determine early if this spirit-filled, rest and practice opportunity is something you would like to share. Full cost for 3 nights lodging, space for retreat activities and dining and 3 meals a day, will run $425 US / person (based on double occupancy accommodation) and $625 US per person (based on single occupancy).
This is an official activity of MSR potentially eligible as a reimbursable expense from your institutions or, if not reimbursed, may be potentially deductible for those who itemize taxes. We'll soon be asking registrants for their preferences for activities at the retreat and asking if you might with to lead a session, perhaps related to your own spiritual or religious traditions as well as bringing these perspectives to our teaching and research
For more information and to reserve a space contact us at rperegoy@udallas.edu or stacie.chappell@wne.edu or simply use the Registration Form following. Because of the limited space, people will be registered for the Retreat on a "first come, first served" basis upon receipt and payment.
We hope you will carefully consider this opportunity to be with colleagues from the MSR interest group as well as other interested friends in a surrounding of natural beauty to share a spirit filled three days in support of our important work on behalf of management education.
Sincerely,
The 2015 MSR Retreat Organizing Committee
