Please find attached the call for the 5^th Biennial Conference of the Indian Academy of Management hosted by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. The conference will be held in the Indore campus of IIM (December 18-20). Indore is in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, well connected by air and rail from both New Delhi and Mumbai. Indore is a city of legacies, both historical and contemporaneous. Historically, Indore is the capital city of the erstwhile Holkar rulers. The Rajwada, the Lal Bagh Palace and the Chhatri (Cenotaph) Bagh are some of the architectural relics of the era. Indore is also at a confluence of multiple ethnic subcultures, such as the Marathas and the Rajputs, which lend their own rich colours and traditions to the city. Consequently, it's an urban delight for both the compulsive shopper and the gastronomer. The 'Sarafa' is one such colourful night market where people from all over India come to sample authentic 'Indori' food. For the culture enthusiasts, some additional attractions are the Kanch Mandir (temple of mirrors)  and the Bada Ganpati temple. If one wants to indulge in the luxury of an extended stay, then the adjoining areas of Ujjain, Maheshwar, Mandu and the Patalpani waterfalls are some of the must visit areas as well.
