The Network for Business Sustainability is calling for proposals for a review and synthesis to be completed in 2014.
The project will focus on answering the question: "How can firms advance sustainable business by incorporating long-term impacts into today's decisions?" This project's purpose is to synthesize current knowledge and best practices for firms to "bring tomorrow into today" by aligning the firm's interests with the long-term needs of society and the natural environment. The core deliverable of this project is a systematic review of the literature in this area.
The call for proposals is available on our website: http://nbs.net/call-for-proposals-on-future-thinking/. Funding is CAD$25,000 (unrestricted). Proposals are due January 6, 2014, and research teams from around the world are welcome to apply. We especially welcome participation of researchers from strategy, finance and accounting.
Please forward this opportunity to your colleagues who may be interested. With questions, please contact Rick Bunch, rbunch@nbs.net.
