The PhD programme at Stockholm School of Economics has a history over 50 years. Over the course of four years, it allows you to conduct research under the supervision of SSE professors, supported by research training courses. The programme is highly international, and you are expected to participate in international research conferences and to spend time abroad as a visiting PhD student. A PhD scholarship runs for a period of 4 years. Teaching is not part of the commitment but there may be teaching possibilities if considered relevant. The PhD student will be enrolled at the SSE PhD Business Administration Program https://www.hhs.se/en/Education/PhD/business-administration/.

The applicants must be fluent in English. The application (see link below) must include a statement of purpose (max 1.000 words) and a description of the project (max 3.600
words). The research proposal should contain a presentation of an original research question, a description of the initial theoretical framework and methodology, a presentation of the suggested empirical material as well as a work-plan. Please, also note that it is recommended to attach a sample of any former research activity such as for example your master thesis. Also, evidence of English language proficiency must be included if you are not a native English speaker.
