Dear friends of SIM,
As many of you already know we lost a dear friend and legend in the field this year. William C. Frederick, Sumner Marcus Award winner and SIM pioneer, passed away in March. Bill was incredibly special to many of us, both professionally and personally. To honor Bill's contributions to the field, to the division, and to our lives, we are holding a special session to celebrate his life on:
Saturday, August 11 from 12:00 to 1:00 in the Chicago Marriott, room Chicago G.
Anyone whose life was touched by Bill are invited to attend. This will be an informal gathering of Bill's professional and social friends, his doctoral students, and his wife, Dr. Millie Myers. If you knew Bill, or knew his work, and would like to share a story about his contributions to your life, please stop by. This is a celebration and remembrance of Bill's life. Please help us honor his memory.
Light refreshments will be served.
This session is sponsored by the Institute for Ethical Business at Duquesne University.
