    Please post for David Wasieleski:

Social Issues in Management Research Incubator

Do you have a great research idea but want feedback on how best to refine it into an impactful project? Are you at the project design stage and looking for advice on how to build in a clear theoretical contribution? Are you looking for a reality check on your planned methodology? Do you want to meet other scholars in your field of research and exchange ideas about hot new research projects? The SIM Research Incubator provides an opportunity to meet, discuss and get expert feedback on early ideas for research projects in the social issues in management field.

We want you to submit your research ideas for new research projects or papers in areas that are relevant to SIM (e.g., CSR, Behavioral Ethics, etc.). We will then select the best ideas to participate in the workshop and to share with the other selected participants in small breakout groups facilitated by established SIM scholars. The idea is to exchange ideas, get feedback, and identify possible collaborations with others.

Some of the confirmed facilitators include:

    Michael Brown, Penn State-Erie

    Andrew Crane, York University

    Patricia Werhane, University of Virginia

    Rob Phillips, University of Richmond

    John Mahon, University of Maine

    Barry Mitnick, University of Pittsburgh

    Duane Windsor, Rice University

    David Wasieleski, Duquesne University

During the session, the topic leader will present some ideas of what they think the exciting new research topics are in the specified area. Then the topic leader and the other participants will provide feedback on each of the ideas submitted beforehand.

To maximize the quality of the sessions, we will limit the number of participants so be sure to send us your best new ideas. Your proposal should be 1-3 pages in length. Multiple submissions are allowed but only one proposal per participant will be accepted in the workshop. We will send acceptances by July 7, 2015.

Please send your proposals by June 30, 2015 to David Wasieleski david.wasieleski@gmail.com and Michael Brown meb239@gmail.com

The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2:15-4:15pm Pinnacle Vancouver Harbourfront Hotel, Tuscany Room.

If you have any questions, please contact the organizers:

    David Wasieleski, Duquesne University, david.wasieleski@gmail.com

    Michael Brown, Penn State-Erie: meb239@gmail.com

We look forward to receiving your manuscripts and seeing you in Vancouver!
