We need a squad for The Quad

Howdy, Fellow SIMians. August and Vancouver are on the horizon. Time to start making plans for a fulfilling several days at the 75th annual meeting of the Academy of Management.

One thing I hope you'll plan for is welcoming and helping new members. If you've been to AOM before, and can reflect back on your first or second meeting, it's quite a daunting experience for the newcomer. If you are a wily veteran of AOM, or at least have been a couple times, you have some invaluable insights to help new members navigate and get the most out of the AOM meeting. So would you please lend a helping hand to a burgeoning fellow SIMian?

Specifically, AOM has launched "The Quad" as a physical space wherein members can meet up. It'll be in the Exhibit Hall, in the Convention Center – waterside! – 8am-4pm, Sat-Mon, plus Fri. eve.  Here's a flyer explaining the initiative: http://aom.informz.net/z/cjUucD9taT00MzE2Mzg1JnA9MSZ1PTc2Nzk5MDc0MCZsaT0yNzIxMzg1Ng/index.html

We need to staff our allocated table with SIMians, for the entire time. So we need several dozen of you to please step up – pretty please! Please pick a time you're willing to staff the table by clicking here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Quad_OrientationSignup_2015. The earlier you sign up, the more times will be available to you.

There are also other opportunities to volunteer at AOM. You can find a list of them here: http://aom.org/Volunteerism/Annual-Meeting-Volunteer-Roles.aspx

Thanks for your time and attention, and especially for your participation in these important programs, designed to get the most out of AOM.

    Best,

    Mike
