    Dear SIMians,

It was great to see so many of you in Vancouver. It seems unanimous that Vancouver was among the best, if not the best, settings for the conference ever. You responded with record attendance. You certainly kept our program chair, Jamie Hendry, very busy with a record number of submissions, too. We also had a great PDW, thanks to Doug Schuler. And there are so many other people to thank, for all that it took to make such a great event happen.

But my purpose here isn't to extend all the well-deserved kudos, but instead, to push everyone to keep all this energy and momentum rolling along. If you weren't able to make it, or just want to relive some of it, but moreover, if you want to continue the conversation, you have the means to do so – just check out, and add to, our myriad social media outlets. You can link to them here: http://sim.aomonline.org/srvc.html.

SIMians are a uniquely dedicated and important group, forming the core of AOM nowadays. But when we return to our respective institutions, we're a much more disjointed set of individuals, and may be the only or one of very few concerned about social issues in management at home. Thus, it's important that we stay in contact, and not wait until early August every year to speak to each other. We have the means to do so . . . is there the will to match? I think there is, but it's up to you demonstrate it.

    Best,

    Mike
