Dear SIMians,

We're nearing the deadline (Jan. 15) for submitting papers and symposia for inclusion in the 2013 meeting of the Academy of Management.  I hope you're planning on submitting a thing or two or three, and I also very much hope you're planning to help out as a reviewer.  We still need a significant number of reviewers (at least 100 more), so please do sign up immediately if you haven't already.

To facilitate a program this large, there are necessarily certain guidelines in place.  It's essential that you follow them when making your submissions.  The submission system requires you to acknowledge these guidelines and to attest that you have followed them.  Yet in checking in early submissions, it's evident that a sizeable portion of submitters do not actually follow all the guidelines.  Up to now, we've had the luxury of returning these submissions to the submitters and asking for a quick correction.  But from here on out, we no longer have that luxury.  As is the norm, most of you will surely make your submissions on or about the 15^th and we then have a very short period of time to get hundreds of submissions "checked in".  Given this tight deadline, there's simply no way to return them.  Rather, we necessarily must reject any submission that does not meet the submission guidelines – no way around it.

Please don't put us in a bind. If you follow the guidelines that you've attested to that you did follow, then we're all good.  Common errors include not putting the submission number in the header and exceeding 40 (TOTAL, ALL-INCLUSIVE) pages.
