Reviewers needed -- please sign up NOW

It's me again.  Ramping up the tactics; starting to move into arm twisting territory.  We have far too few people signed up to serve as reviewers for the 2013 AOM program.  If we don't cajole roughly a bajillion more of you to sign up, then our ability to run an effective program will be significantly hampered.  And you couldn't live with yourself if that happened, now could you?  Go on – look in the mirror . . . see if you think you can live with that . .. ;) [one quick aside: if you look in the mirror and see nothing, then you're a vampire; if so, please exclude yourself from the reviewer pool.]

If you plan on submitting a paper or if you've presented in SIM in the past, please pay it back by reviewing (I'm surprised by how few of our long-standing SIMians, leaders and all, have jumped into the pool yet – yes, I'm pointing the finger at you!  There's no automatic rollover from year to yearPlease sign up, even (and especially) if you reviewed last year!  Note that if you are to be eligible to be an associate editor for SIM, you'll still need to sign up as a reviewer) .  And if you're looking to get involved in the SIM community at all, please pay it forward by reviewing.  If I might sum it up:  just sign up already!

You know you want to!  You really want to be a part of something exciting, innovative, interesting, meaningful . . . that's right, you want to be a reviewer for the SIM division.  So won't you please sign up?

Go on, do it now, before this email gets buried under all the others.

We desperately need all the kind and competent reviewers we can get, else the program just isn't going to be as good as it should and can be.  Please help me to select the right content for the program, and help the submitters to develop their work with insightful and developmental feedback.

You can sign up to review for up to two (2) divisions and/or interest groups.  Please make SIM your first choice.  You may be asked to review up to three (3) submissions (papers and symposia) for each division or interest group that you select.

To sign up, please visit http://review.aomonline.org/. You will have to create a user account and choose your areas of expertise (keywords) for the divisions or interest groups for which you want to review. The signup process should not take more than 10 minutes. Reviewers are advised to carefully review the reviewer guidelines and procedures on the 2013 Annual Meeting website.

You'll receive your review assignments around January 15, 2013, and you'll need to return the reviews by no later than February 21, 2013.

    Thanks!

    -Mike
