The call for submissions suggests that more attention needs to be given to the work required at the interface of our academic disciplines but also our various audiences outside academia. The call states: "Today's Grand Challenges (e.g., aging populations, climate change) increasingly demand large-scale multi-perspective strategies." In this panel we are discussing how these grand challenges can be addressed so that the specialized knowledge generated in the divisions/functions of management thought and practice can be more successfully applied. We focus particularly on the emergence of alternative paradigms that can bridge academic disciplines, management practice, pedagogy and policy. |
