Dear Colleagues (with apologies for cross-posting)

For those interested in rethinking some basics of management theory through a humanistic lens we wish to call your attention to three concurrent special issues linked to a conference, Oct 8-10, in Tuebingen Germany (Global Ethic Institute).

    1)      1) Conceptualizing Humanistic Management as an alternative to managing in a post-crisis world. (Human Systems Management)

The first special issue is the broadest one allowing for general perspectives on re-conceptualizing management theory (post crises). It will be a special issue in Human Systems Management. More details here: http://www.iospress.nl/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/HSM-Special-Issue_v5.pdf

    Abstracts due: June 15, 2014

    2)      2) The role of human dignity and well-being in management theory- rom human rights to human responsibilities (Journal of Business Ethics)

The second special issue is focusing on two humanistic precepts: dignity and well-being. We invite all scholars that are interested and able to draw on these concepts to present theoretical, conceptual and possibly empirical consequences for management theory. It will be a special issue in Journal of Business Ethics. More details see attached:

                  Abstracts due: June 15, 2014

    3)      3) Human dignity and business (Business Ethics Quarterly)

The third special issue is focusing exclusively on human dignity.

It will be a special issue in Business Ethics Quarterly. More details here: http://www.pdcnet.org/pdfs/beq/BEQ-conference-human-dignity.pdf

    Abstracts due: May 30th, 2014
