Colleagues,
The deadline for submission of proposals for the 2012 conference of the International Association of Business and Society -- to be held June 14-17 in Asheville, NC, USA -- has been extended. The new deadline is 5 PM PST December 15, 2011 (01:00 GMT December 16, 2011).
Proposals (2-5 pages, single spaced, depending upon the type of proposal) are accepted on any business and society, business ethics, or sustainability topic. Submissions are particularly encouraged relating to the theme, "Personal Responsibility for Improving Society". Please see the attached Call for Submissions for details.
The conference will be held in Asheville, North Carolina, in the heart of the southern Appalachian Mountains. The city has thriving arts, crafts, dining and music scenes, along with unique Art Deco architecture, rich history, and proximity to tremendous scenic and recreational opportunities. Asheville has been variously selected as a "Top 25 Arts Destination", a "New Age Mecca", a "Best Outside Town", one of the "Ten Most Beautiful Places in America", and one of Frommer's 2007 top 12 must see destinations.
