POSITION OPENINGS IN MANAGEMENT (STRATEGY, OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT) AND MARKETING
The Management & Marketing Department at Western Illinois University currently is conducting searches for three faculty positions as noted below. While none of these positions focuses on sustainability or ethics, individuals with interests in these areas are particularly encouraged to apply. ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF MANAGEMENT. Required: Ph.D. or D.B.A. from an AACSB accredited business school or equivalent degree from a Carnegie Research University (RU/H or RU/VH); Record of effective teaching experience in strategic management. Preferred: Record of scholarly research; Ability to teach a variety of management courses; Teaching, research or business experience in one or more of the following: entrepreneurship, sustainable enterprise, international management, and/or ethics and corporate social responsibility. INSTRUCTOR OF MANAGEMENT. Required: MBA degree and professional experience in operations management related field; AACSB-accredited university preferred; excellent communication skills; academic preparation in operations management; professional experience in total quality management and lean management in manufacturing and service organizations. Preferred: Interest and/or experience in applying environmental sustainability concerns to operations management; classroom and online teaching experience; interest in and ability to teach a variety of management courses. INSTRUCTOR OF MARKETING. Required: MBA degree with a concentration or major in marketing or M.S. in marketing; AACSB-accredited university preferred; Preferred: Knowledge of and/or experience in conducting marketing research; Excellent communication skills; Knowledge and experience working with marketing technologies (mobile, internet, etc.); College or university teaching experience; Experience or familiarity with green/sustainable marketing issues also desirable.
