I would like to welcome you to participate in the PDW on:

"Designing a Base of the Pyramid Enterprise: An Interactive Simulation Game"
    Friday, August 05, 2016, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Anaheim Marriott, Grand Ballroom Salon G

Abstract: This PDW analyzes an important key question on,  how to design a Base of the Pyramid (BoP) enterprise that incorporates the realities of the poor and the expectations of key stakeholders? To answer this question, this PDW proposes to share and present a new and innovative simulation that aims to facilitate hearing the voices of the BoP and other key stakeholders in the design of BoP enterprises based on sustainable and mutual value creation. The PDW participants will form groups and play the competing and cooperating roles of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and the enterprise leadership team, shareholders, and societal stakeholders (rural/extractive/riparian community; NGOs; government; research institutions, and, if applicable, other key stakeholders). Based on their motives, expectations, strategies and capabilities, they will interact with each other to satisfy their needs and to create sustainable and mutual values to the whole Base of the Pyramid (BoP) system. In this simulation, sustainable and mutual values involve economic, social and environmental dimensions.
