    Presenter: Sanjoy Mukherjee; Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta;
    Presenter: Kay Rudisill; Oracle;

    This symposium addresses a core question for today's world: how can we create conditions that remind leaders of their concern for the future of humanity and the earth, so that they will act from their commitment to the sustainability of their company, society, and planet?

    This interactive symposium will raise questions, introduce concepts and frameworks, and describe cases to advance knowledge on this aspect of leadership. Presenters will explore and clarify
    * Implications of Eastern wisdom traditions for the development of ethical leadership,
    * Non-conventional sources and methods of learning for spiritually enlightened leadership and sustainable business
    * Challenges facing today's corporate leaders as they address questions of societal sustainability,
    * Issues involved in communicating virtually on such complex themes,
    * Benefits and challenges of integrating spiritual principles and practice in organizational leadership.

    All presenters are experienced scholars and practitioners, sharing learning derived from practice and research grounded in both Eastern and Western approaches to spirituality, meaning-making, and leadership. Their case studies, frameworks, and theoretical discussions will enable participants to address day-to-day operational concerns as well as reflect upon the global socioeconomic issues that span cultural boundaries, academic disciplines, and diverse realms of human experience.
