Dear SIM Colleagues (sent with apologies for cross-postings),

To be relevant, business schools must continuously adapt their curricula to keep pace with an increasingly dynamic business environment and to prepare tomorrow's business leaders and managers.  A brief survey, developed by Barrie Litzky and the SIM Curriculum Committee, requests your input on what "non-traditional" or newer topics you have introduced into your ethics, business & society, and similarly SIM-focused courses, and what you think will or should be taught in both the immediate and distant future.

The SIM curriculum committee will share the survey findings at an Academy PDW in August, 2009 as well as on this SIM listserv.

The results will assist professors in making sure that their content for an ethics or business & society course is timely and will allow professors to share ideas.  This is especially relevant for those professors who are just starting to teach ethics as a separate course, or who are trying to delineate undergraduate from graduate course content.  By streamlining this information, the survey may also circumvent the (over)use of the SIM listserv for individual questions about course information.  The survey is a great medium to discover what social, environmental, ethical, and regulatory issues will be pertinent in the future.

If you have already participated, Thank You!  If you haven't, please take a few moments to complete the survey at

The committee and I thank you!
