    Job Description:           Senior Researcher in Leadership and Executive Development

       National Center for Professional and Research Ethics

       University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

     

    The National Center for Professional and Research Ethics (NCPRE) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is offering a post-doctoral fellowship for newly graduating Ph.Ds in Organizational Development, Leadership, or related fields such as psychology. This position is a full-time postdoctoral position. The successful candidate will report to the Director of the National Center and will be supervised by the Collaborations Director of the National Center. This position will support the National Center's efforts to promote executive development and successful leadership practices within the global academic community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with team members, faculty, consultants, and client groups. Initially, the candidate will focus on creating self-directed management enrichment materials: conducting and writing literature reviews, and preparing briefing papers on selected issues in leadership and executive development. These materials will be used to support the National Center's collaboration with the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)-Illinois Collaboration: Nanyang Leadership Academy ("NLA").

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    ·         Conduct directed and comprehensive research in leadership, academic management, and executive development across a wide range of fields/disciplines;

    ·         Develop insightful and practical materials, such as executive briefing papers, videos, and resource guides, that will enhance the leadership curriculum used with NLA;

    ·         Identify issues, concerns, topics, and interventions that support the learning needs of NLA participants;

    ·         Contribute to NLA leadership curriculum development, delivery, and support, and work collaboratively with the Principal Investigators and the NCPRE staff in the design and development of curricular modules offered through NLA;

    ·         Assist in the technical and programmatic development of all materials and interventions, employing multiple educational technologies for the design and delivery of content;

    ·         Support and participate in NCPRE's ongoing information-based leadership research, monitor current and cutting-edge technologies, and propose learning strategies for effective leadership/executive development; and

    ·         Other duties as assigned.

     

     

     

    Qualifications:

    Terminal degree (e.g., PhD, EdD or JD) with excellent oral and written communication skills, project management skills, and proven ability to research and analyze information.  The successful candidate is expected to have experience in qualitative and quantitative research in management and leadership topics, organizational development, adult learning theories, and cross cultural communication. Candidates with experiences in global academic environments, including Pan-Asia and the Global South, are encouraged to apply.

    Salary:

    Salary will be commensurate with training and experience. Appointment will be 100%, full- time with University benefits for eligible postdocs.
