    FACULTY  VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

     

    The Zlcklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY) Invites applications for a tenure-track faculty  position in Strategic Management/Business & Society. The rank for this position is at the Assistant or Associate level, and the start date is August 2016.

    The successful candidate should be prepared to teach foundation courses as well as electives in strategic management, business and society, and International aspects of strategic management, and business and society. The College offers a wide variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels including Ph.D., and executive programs at the MS and MBA levels, and thereby provides considerable opportunities for teaching and research. Finally, the successful candidate must contribute to the Department of Management as an active colleague.

    Depending on the level of the position, i.e., assistant or associate professor, candidates must demonstrate commensurate level of teaching experience and publication record. They should also have interest in developing new courses as well as exposure/interest in teaching online/hybrid courses. Compensation and teaching loads will be competitive.

    The Narendra P. Loomba Department of Management has 46 full-time faculty and 70 part-time members. It is comprised of four discipline areas: Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management/Business and Society, and, Entrepreneurship.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Candidates must have a PhD in Strategic Management/Business and Society or a related field. Preferred qualifications would include strong background in economics, international business, business ethics, sustainability, and issues related to globalization. The successful candidate is expected to lead or participate in research in these and related fields. Familiarity with large data analysis - especially with data in social sciences - would be a desired capability. For an entry level, assistant professor position, the successful candidate must have defended his/her dissertation prior to the start of employment in August 2016.
