Potential Ethics Speaker

    Hello all:

In the past I have gotten names of potential ethics speakers from members of this list and have also passed along some names to others here.  In keeping with that tradition I would like to share the name and contact information of a potential ethics guest speaker who we recently had as our keynote speaker for our annual ethics symposium.  The speaker is Jack Grubbs and he has a very interesting background.  He is a retired brigadier general/US Army ranger, former faculty member at West Point and Tulane where he was also a senior academic administrator, construction company owner, novelist, and a motivational speaker on ethics and leadership.  A bio sketch is attached.

The response from students and faculty to his recent talk was very positive.  We have posted a video of this talk on our website for students who could not attend the talk in person.  If anyone wants to check it out it is at: http://www.pamplin.vt.edu/ethics/ .  Because of its length the video is broken into 5 segments.  The first consists largely of introductory material so you might just want to click on the second one to get a good overview of his talk (unfortunately our cameraman include his slides in the video).  If you want to contact him directly his email address is grubbsjudy17@gmail.com.  General Grubbs does request a speaker's fee but it is not nearly as steep as some of the folks on the "ethics speaking circuit."

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards, Rich
