Apologies for cross-postings. I wanted to pass along the following note I received from Laura Hartman, who many of you know, today. If you are considering making year-end charitable contributions, as many people do, please consider supporting the following cause, l'Ecole de Choix / School of Choice in Haiti. Laura Hartman, who is a past president of the Society for Business Ethics, is the founder and chairs the board of l'Ecole de Choix. Having worked with Laura on several projects I personally have lots of confidence that this organization is doing very good work in an efficient manner, something I am not always so sure about with other charitable organizations from which I receive solicitations.
Happy holidays, Rich

Subject: $5 for Haiti's School of Choice
Hello friends of l'Ecole de Choix / School of Choice,
We wish you a happy holiday season and a very healthy and joy-filled new year.
We are emailing with information about an exciting and – we hope – fun, easy campaign we just launched where you can have a significant impact on the lives of our students for a relatively small contribution! (Scroll down for info on how to help.)
Partner with Choix to combat hunger in Haiti:
Feed 5 students for $5 and ask 5 friends to do the same
Nutrition plays a key role in our students' success
Our students live in conditions of extreme poverty, are plagued by hunger, and endure food insecurity on a daily basis.
The lunch that they receive at Choix will most likely be the only meal they will have that day. If students no longer are suffering from hunger, they are better able to focus on learning and also will have fewer absences from school!
Better nutrition = Better health = Better well-being
How to help:
· Please contribute $5 (or whatever amount you please) at our campaign on Indiegogo: http://igg.me/at/choix
· Spread the word! On twitter, Facebook or the social media platform of your choice! Sample messages below . . .
· Tag your friends and ask them to share
We are so tremendously grateful for your support.
Warmest regards and big hugs from your friends at Choix (please see sample messages below)
