We invite you to submit a Full Paper or Abstract to the Social Issues and Sustainability track of the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute.
Social Issues and Sustainability - Organizational sustainability has become increasingly important, due to scarce natural resources and increased regulatory, stakeholder and consumer pressures to limit industry and individual's ecological footprint. Organizations are responding by incorporating sustainability considerations throughout all functions within their organizations. This track is focused on these issues, but also includes social issues that are at the nexus of environmental and economic concerns facing organizations. Potential topics include, but are not limited, to the following:
Closed-loop systems and supply chains
Eco-design and Industrial ecology
Circular economy and carbon economy
Sustainability and performance
Institutional and Stakeholder theory and sustainability decisions
Sustainable supply chain management
Corporate social responsibility and social performance

Pollution control and prevention and waste minimization
Environmental auditing and information systems
Green information systems
Industrial self-regulation
