The Department of Management in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Organizational Behavior starting Fall 2023. SDSU values high quality scholarship and teaching and therefore the successful candidate will exhibit competence/potential in both areas. The first entails conducting high quality scholarship in organizational behavior resulting in top-tier journal publications and academic thought leadership. The second involves effectively teaching an undergraduate organizational behavior course called Leadership in Organizations and a graduate level elective called Leadership and Group Process. Teaching in the core undergraduate organizational behavior course will also be expected when needed. The candidate will also be expected to be an active member in the Institute for Inclusiveness and Diversity in Organizations (IIDO: www.sdsu.edu/iido). Filling this position will be contingent upon state funding.
Applicants should have completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Management or related area by August 2023. Well-qualified applicants will have demonstrated both high quality organizational behavior research with publications in top-tier journals and evidence of excellence in teaching organizational behavior courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
The SDSU Fowler College of Business is among the nation's oldest and largest AACSB accredited business schools. The Management department's faculty includes 19 tenure-track faculty as well as several full- and part-time lecturers. Support for research includes funding for approved projects through grant programs, graduate student assistants, and a research budget for conference travel and items/data supporting research.
